To my fellow norwegians:

To my fellow norwegians:
You have nothing to complain about. Nothing. At. All. All problems we struggle with are 1st world problems. Really.

1st place on the prosperity ranking since 2009. We did it again this year. We can afford to share, to help. To be open and including.

If you feel that 'they' take your jobs, leech on our society, or otherwise are a burden to you - i have some news. It's not 'them'. It's you. You have better possibilities here than anywhere else in the world. So shut up and stop complaining.

  1. To some there are other problems that are as important to them as 3rd world problems are for those living them...not every problem is about luxuries.... Especially in the holiday seasons

  2. In all probability you would not get any better help for such problems anywhere else in the world...

  4. Couldn't have said it better myself. The more I hear people complain about 1st world problems, the more disheartened I get.

I love Norway and I want my future kids to grow up with all the things that mean the world to me: Mountains, fjords, midnight sun, northern lights. I want them to grow up appreciating the seasons, the landscape, the weather, the animals; sledging, cross-country skiing, hiking, camping. I want them to grow up being in a position where they can do anything they want - have a go at making their more "impossible" dreams come true. I want that for them. But at the same time, it worries me. I see so many people taking everything for granted. It's an easy mistake to make. What you want is suddenly classified as what you need. We don't need much. We want much. I want my future kinds to know the difference.
