I know My husky is trembling like a leaf and hiding in the laundry room... Hyperventilating! Poor thing.
My Drever whined a little when it started, but seems to handle it OK as long as she gets enough attention (i.e is being scratched). The explosions don't bother her much, it's the whining sounds she doesn't like.
