I'm running windows today. It's been a long time... And it is frustrating!
Just running chrome in windows is weird. This is on a laptop, and trackpoint, trackpad and mouse buttons don't behave as expected. the frustrating thing is that they are "almost right", but there are small differences that just drive me crazy. I find it more difficult to hit what I want with the trackpoint since I can't get sensitivity and acceleration just like I am used to, the trackpad needs more pressure when doing gestures... I much prefer the way they behave under linux, but that could be me being used to that way.
Why write about it? Because it is a nice reminder that anyone tuned to windows will probably be equally frustrated about these issues. A full time laptop user like myself will have more trouble switching (either way) than a desktop user.
I deal with that cr@ap almost everyday, fixing somebody else's computer (eve the Mrs.). It's annoying by all means. Slow, buggy, ... you name it.
